Protecting Your People by Removing the Risk of Human Intervention
The Firetrace Class D Fire Suppression System is a pre-engineered local application system designed for automatic, targeted protection. When a fire ignites, our heat-sensitive detection tubing bursts upon exposure to extreme temperatures, triggering the system to release Amerex Super D Dry Powder directly onto the fire —without the need for human intervention.
Once deployed, the agent forms a heat-absorbing crust, smothering the fire, cutting off oxygen, and preventing reignition—buying you time to respond without exposing workers. Tested in over 100 fire scenarios, it is the most efficient Class D suppression system on the market.
Ideal for CNC machines, collection bins, and drums where combustible metals are present.

Class D Fires burn at extremely high temperatures and are known to reach temperatures of 1832° F to 7000° F (1000° C to 3871° C).
This is hot enough to break bonds within molecules producing atoms or ions.
Because of the extreme temperatures, Class D fires can fuel themselves by splitting molecules apart. This means that molecules such as water can be split, freeing oxygen to continue to fuel these fires.
Starting at such high temperatures and the ability to self-fuel mean these fires can last very long and require specialized fire fighting measures.
If water comes into contact with these extremely hot fires, the hydrogen and oxygen molecules can split releasing hydrogen gas.
Hydrogen gas is known as highly explosive which can lead to additional damage and risk to people and property.
