Fluid Leaks

Fuel, oil, and hydraulic fluids can escape from worn hoses or fittings and accumulate within the engine compartment. When these flammable liquids contact hot surfaces, they can ignite and spread rapidly. ​

High Engine Temperatures

Engines generate significant heat during normal operation, with components like exhaust manifolds and turbochargers reaching extreme temperatures. These hot surfaces can ignite nearby fluids or debris without warning. ​

Heavy Vibration

Constant vibration during operation can loosen fittings, damage wiring, and accelerate wear on critical components. Over time, this increases the likelihood of leaks or electrical faults that can lead to fire. ​

How It Works:

Heat from a fire is detected by the LHD cable, triggering a electric signal that is immediately sent to the control module.​

The control module alarms, checks for programmed delays or manual inputs, then signals the valve solenoid to release system pressure.

The suppression agent is discharged through system nozzles, quickly blanketing the protected area to suppress the fire at its source.

Linear Heat Detection provides continuous monitoring along the full length of the cable. When a fire occurs, heat melts the insulation, the wires touch, and a signal is sent to trigger the system discharge.
