Choose the Right Agent to Ensure Application Success

Every agent has advantages and disadvantages, which is why it is important to understand your application requirements. For example, to select the most appropriate agent for a given application, you will need to know whether the hazard you need to protect is susceptible to Class A, B, C, or D fires (or some combination of these).

Firetrace systems can be installed with any of these agents:

  • Carbon Dioxide (CO2)
  • ABC Dry Chemical
  • Purple K (BC Dry Chemical)
  • Novec 1230
  • FM-200

Both Novec 1230 and FM-200 fall under the category of clean agents. These agents quickly suppress the fire without harming the equipment, employees, and the environment. They are noncorrosive, nonconductive, and because they do not leave a residue to clean up, it minimizes the interruption of your business operations.
