Intersec wrap up

Firetrace team receive LPCB approval at Intersec 2017
By Scott Starr, marketing director for Firetrace International

Another week, another successful trade show!

This week the Firetrace team were at Intersec 2017 in Dubai, alongside more than 1,300 other exhibitors and over 33,500 visitors from across 129 countries!

Firetrace attends Intersec every year.  As the largest and most international security, safety and fire protection exhibition in the world, we consider it an ideal platform for us – a global manufacturer – to present our highly effective fire suppression systems to the sector.

And, as we’re doing so much great work in Dubai and the Middle East as a whole, the location of Intersec just makes perfect sense for us.

It was a really good show!

Much of the talk on our stand was driven by people’s interest in the three new approvals we’ve recently won for our systems. We got things off to an excellent start on the first day, with the official presentation of our LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board) approval for our Novec 1230 and FM-200 direct low pressure systems.

And given all the work we’re currently doing in the oil and gas sector around the Middle East, it was perhaps unsurprising that our Lloyds Register Marine Type Approval for E4 was of particular interest and relevance to many of our customers in the region.

Last but not least, we created a stir with the official Kuwait Fire Department approval for our engineered and pre-engineered systems using Novec 1230 and FM-200.

This approval has opened up a whole new country and market for Firetrace, and led to a definite upsurge in enquiries at the show from customers from Kuwait.

It wasn’t just our new listings that got people talking though.

We pride ourselves on being leading innovators in the fire suppression industry so we were delighted to debut at Intersec a feature-rich prototype of a manual release system.

We’ll be circulating further details of the product shortly but the prototype went down universally well with our employees, distributors and customers alike.  We’re excited!

In short, another successful visit to Intersec! We caught up with old friends across the industry and had some good conversations with new acquaintances eager to discuss how our innovative systems could benefit them.

See you next year!
