Firetrace is proud to supply systems and solutions for military applications. We offer direct and indirect systems that are specially engineered to protect wheels/tires, undercarriage, engine compartments, and fuel tanks. Our systems have been environmentally tested to
Due to the non-electric nature of the Firetrace Aerospace fire suppression systems, we can eliminate many of the complexities of an active system. This leads to cost, weight, and space claim reductions.
Our systems utilize a proprietary pneumatic detection circuit, known as Firetrace Detection Tubing (FDT), to detect a fire or ballistic event without needing to be integrated into a vehicle or aircraft’s overburdened electrical system.
The simplistic application of the system, along with our advanced Black Widow fire suppressing agent, ensures fail-safe operation, ease of maintainability, reduced weight, lower costs, and a smaller claim on space.
Our direct release systems utilize our Firetrace Detection Tube (FDT) for suppressant delivery. This Direct system is primarily designed for small enclosures like battery compartments or electronic racks, where exposure to the elements is minimized.
Our indirect release systems use our Firetrace Detection Tube (FDT) as a fire detection and system activation device, not as the discharge tube. The Indirect systems are ideal for larger volumes or for hazards that are external to a vehicle, where quick detection and delivery of the fire-suppressing agent is required.
The FIRE Panel is a non-electric fire suppression system that is made of a plastic polymer shell designed to conform and to encapsulate any flammable fluid or gas storage container. Housed within the plastic polymer shell is a dry chemical extinguishing agent known as Black Widow that mixes with the air and fuel mixture and disrupts the process that allows combustion to occur.
