Road to Operational Excellence: ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
Firetrace International, a global leader in fire suppression solutions, today announced it has achieved ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems) certifications, reinforcing the company’s commitment to environmental responsibility, employee safety, and operational excellence.
The certifications were awarded following comprehensive, independent audits conducted by Systems Certification Body (SCB), an IAMPO Company. The audits verified that Firetrace’s management systems meet internationally recognized standards for environmental stewardship and workplace health and safety.
ISO 14001 certification confirms that Firetrace has implemented a structured, continuously improving framework to identify, manage, and reduce its environmental impact, while ensuring regulatory compliance. ISO 45001 certification demonstrates that Firetrace proactively identifies workplace hazards, mitigates risk, and embeds employee health and safety into daily operations and decision-making.
“These certifications represent much more than a milestone; they reflect how Firetrace operates every day,” said Tom Crane, President of Firetrace International. “Protecting people, property, and the environment is at the core of our mission. Achieving ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 validates the discipline, accountability, and care our teams bring to safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement across the organization.”
The certifications further reinforce Firetrace’s company values, including responsibility, integrity, and long-term thinking, by formally embedding environmental and employee well-being considerations into business processes. They also support the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) priorities of Firetrace’s parent company, Halma, a global group of life-saving technology companies focused on creating a safer, cleaner, and healthier future.
As part of Halma, Firetrace contributes to broader ESG objectives by:
- Reducing environmental risk and resource impact through structured environmental management
- Promoting safe, healthy, and inclusive workplaces
- Operating with transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement
“ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 provide a strong, internationally-recognized foundation for sustainable growth,” added Crane. “They help ensure we are a trusted partner for our customers, distributors, and communities, today and into the future.”
Firetrace International will maintain these certifications through ongoing internal audits, leadership oversight, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring the standards remain an active part of how the company operates worldwide.
